Design your dream rug and we'll make it to measure. Upload a photo, a sketch, a painting or simply an idea, choose your finish, shape and exact size, and our design team turns it into a hand tufted rug made just for your room. Any design, any colour, any size up to 600 × 800 cm.

Prices are based on the average price per square metre of the same three finishes across our designer rug collections. The calculator works out your exact price from your length and width. The images show rugs from our designer collections for inspiration.

How it works

1. Choose your finish, shape (rectangle, round or organic) and size.
2. Upload your design, photo or inspiration, and add notes on colours and details.
3. Approve your proof. Our design team sends a digital proof and colour plan, with yarn or colour samples on request. Nothing is made until you approve it.
4. Made for you. Your rug is hand tufted to order and delivered to your door, or collected from our Port Melbourne showroom.

Sizing guide

• Living room: large enough for at least the front legs of the sofa and every chair to sit on it, usually 200 × 300 cm to 300 × 400 cm.
• Dining room: the table plus 60–75 cm on every side, so chairs stay on the rug when pulled out.
• Bedroom: extend 50–90 cm beyond each side of the bed.
• Round rugs are priced on the square they're cut from; organic shapes on their overall length and width. Minimum order 2 m².

Custom rug FAQs

Can I really make a rug from my own design? Yes. Send us artwork, a photo, a logo, a colour palette or a hand sketch. We'll adapt it for tufting and show you a proof first.

Can you match my colours? Yes. Tell us Pantone references, or send a fabric, paint or cushion swatch, and we'll match the yarns.

What's the difference between the finishes? Acrylic is the most practical and affordable; wool blend is hard-wearing and warm; natural fibre is the most luxurious, with a soft sheen.

Can I change the size of one of your existing rugs? Often, yes. Many of our designer rugs can also be made in a custom size or colour. Upload a screenshot and add a note.

How do I care for a hand tufted rug? Vacuum regularly without a beater bar, blot spills straight away, rotate every few months and book a professional clean once a year.
