Colven Elm & Brass Bookcase with Five Open Shelves

Tall, ordered and quietly glamorous, the Colven is an elm and brass bookcase that turns a wall of books and objects into a composed display. Five open shelves are divided by three full-height brass uprights, framed by a softly rounded top cap and base.

Shelves and back panel are faced in light grey elm veneer, its grain visible beneath a pale wash of colour. The vertical partitions are finished in brass metallic paint, creating fine golden lines that run from floor to crown and give the piece its architectural rhythm.

Soft radiused edges and slim metallic detailing echo the renewed interest in Art Deco geometry, interpreted here with a light, contemporary hand. The Colven is newly arrived in Australia, through Cocolea.
